A survey of government health ministry found that 79.1% of the Chinese people have no medical insurance. These people always pay for the fees to see a doctor themselves. 2/3 people in rural areas are poor or come back to poverty caused by illness. 48.9% of Chinese people do not see a doctor when they are ill and 29.6% of Chinese people that need medical treatment are not able to go to a hospital. Surveys show that the Chinese community believes that it is difficult and expensive to see a doctor.
The current hospitals in villages and towns show that:
The operating houses are old and dangerous.
The equipments in hospitals are getting old and their functions are falling short of standards.
The lack of doctors and technology is falling behind.

The main contents of the program
To assist clinics to rebuild the rooms and renew the equipments in order to achieve 3 functions of a hospital, that include disease prevention, services of medical treatment and operation of clinics. To assist clinics to train doctors, mobilize doctors in cities to do voluntary work in rural areas, improve rural doctors’ service level.
The mode of assistance
Donate 500,000 RMB to establish a Hope clinic.
The county government matches more than 300,000 RMB.
10% of the donation funds will be used on the services, management and administration of CYDF.
Aid Procedure:
The county government of where there is a need for a Hope clinic submits application to CYDF.
CYDF send documents include preparations for establishing a Hope clinic, programming for Hope clinic and agreement for Hope clinic.
The county government signs the agreement with CYDF, and then starts construction .
When we see a patient we can only rely on stethoscopes, blood-pressure meters and clinical thermometers, there’s just one room for all doctors, doctors do all the jobs, not just care for the patients, the ability to control sudden events is not enough.
We dream to have a functional clinic with a ultrasonic machine, an x-ray machine and a comfortable sickbay, and to solve the difficult problems for farmers to see a doctor.

The first and second Hope hospital of China was established on 25th July 2006 in Xin county of Henan province. On the completion ceremony, Vice Chairman of the All China Youth Federation, also the Chairperson of the Board Erkenjiang Tulahong declared that Hope Hospitals had been launched to assist clinics in counties.
