Yum! Restaurants China has entrusted the CYDF to establish the KFC Shuguang Fund of China. According to the contract between Yum! Restaurants China and CYDF, Yum! Restaurants China will help manypoor college students all over China throughout a period of 10 yearsEach student will receive the donation of RMB5000 per year; in all totaling over 38 million YuanThis is the biggest college student study aid fund operated by CYDF, and it is also the biggest fund that established by a multi-national corporation  in China.

The KFC Shuguang Fund of China has three features:

1. To ensure that students finish their studies. The donation of 5000 yuan will assist a student throughout their studies, covering both educational and living expenses. 2. To echo the importance of hard work.  The foundation also provides jobs for these students in the local KFC, helping the students to become self-supporting and working members of society.    

3. To emphasize honestyThe fund encourages students to return to society after they graduateby contributing to the foundation, in order to continue the fund’s development and benefit more students like them.

The Shuguang Fund gives students hope when they start their university life, helping students who struggle with poverty and lighting their way for a better future.
